Jon Charles, President

Born in Miami and raised in Chicago, Jon Charles has always had a deep connection to South Florida. After graduating from Southern Illinois University with a degree in advertising, Jon pursued his MBA at Lynn University in Boca Raton. His career in the advertising industry took him to West Palm Beach, Scottsdale, AZ, and San Francisco, CA, where he honed his skills in marketing and client relations.

Now back in Palm Beach County with his wife Brooke and their two children, Jon has embraced his passion for helping others transform their homes. His expertise in real estate, particularly in the beautiful areas of Tequesta and Jupiter, FL, led him to expand his knowledge further by becoming a Broker Associate. This background has seamlessly transitioned into his latest venture as a partner in Coastal Florida Construction Group.

At Coastal Florida Construction, Jon combines his real estate insights with a focus on construction renovations, helping clients enhance their living spaces with the same dedication and attention to detail that has defined his career. Jon’s deep understanding of the local market, coupled with his commitment to quality, makes him a valuable asset to the Coastal Florida Construction team.

Scott Lay, Vice President

Raised in East Texas, Scott Lay embodies the values of hard work and dedication. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of Texas at Tyler, and his passion for construction runs deep, being a second-generation expert in the design/build field. In 2000, Scott took over the family business, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in the industry.

With over 25 years of experience, Scott has cultivated strong professional relationships with clients across various sectors, both locally and nationally. Now, as the driving force behind Coastal Florida Construction Group, Scott applies his extensive knowledge and leadership skills to guide the company’s day-to-day operations. His commitment to excellence and innovation continues to position Coastal Florida Construction Group as a leading construction firm.
